BOKDI was born from the desire to give voice to forgotten stories and celebrate the roots that shape us. The name comes from the Bari people language, an Indigenous community living along the border between Venezuela and Colombia. “Bokdi” means river. A sacred symbol of life, flow, and divinity. This is the core of the brand. BOKDI is more than a jewelry house. It is a tribute. It is memory carried on the body. It is a rebirth of narratives that deserve to be remembered instead of erased.

We create limited-edition jewelry in bronze with 24k gold plating, finished by hand. We design for presence. For weight. For honesty. We do not chase trends or seasons. We build pieces that feel like protection and declaration. You do not wear them to decorate yourself. You wear them to claim yourself.

The hummingbird is our symbol. It is small but impossible to ignore. It crosses distance. It survives displacement. It carries light in its chest. It does not ask for permission to exist. It exists. For us the hummingbird represents resilience, memory, and living beauty. Resilience: you can be taken away from where you began and still build yourself again. Memory: the body keeps stories the mouth cannot always say out loud. Living beauty: not sterile perfection but movement, pulse, breath. That is why our visual identity is clean and intentional. The hummingbird appears as a mark of territory, not an ornament. We are stating: this space is ours.

Our first collection is called EL DORADO. For centuries “El Dorado” was used by Europe to name a fantasy of endless gold to be taken from Latin America. We refuse that gaze. In our version, EL DORADO is not a land to conquer. EL DORADO is you. Your body as value. Your story as treasure. The collection works with bronze as a base, bathed in 24k gold, shaped and finished by hand. Rings. Earrings. Necklaces. Chokers. Solid pieces with intention and physical presence. Produced in controlled quantities. Not mass produced. When a design ends it does not return exactly the same. Scarcity here is integrity. You are not standard. Your pieces should not be either.

  • BOKDI stands in Latin identity but is not limited to one passport or one flag. It is built in movement. Between Colombia and Paris. Between survival and self-definition. Between what is inherited and what is chosen. Our work is for people who do not fully belong to any single place, who build home in themselves, who carry multiple truths in one body.

  • We believe real luxury now is not distance. Real luxury is intimacy. Knowing what you wear. Knowing who touched it. Knowing why it exists. We keep human trace visible in each piece. Texture, irregularity, weight. We do not erase the mark of the hand. We refuse the idea that perfection means smooth and empty. We prefer evidence. Evidence that someone made this for a purpose.

  • BOKDI is also a community project. We are building physical spaces: gatherings, pop-ups, intimate circles. Rooms where women, migrants, mixed identities, and people in transit can show up in full force without having to soften or translate themselves. The goal is not only to sell. The goal is to gather. To witness each other. To create belonging that is chosen, not granted.

Our values are direct. Belonging without permission. Memory without shame. Material honesty. Care in production. Soft power. We believe in presence that does not beg to be seen but cannot be ignored. We work in responsible quantities and we design packaging meant to be kept, not thrown away. We aim for accessible intention. We want to keep the work within reach without diluting what it stands for.

Our mission is to design objects that let you return to yourself and say “this is mine.” Our vision is to grow into a transnational creative house that moves across jewelry, body, ritual, and collective space. BOKDI is a reminder that history is alive. Through community, creativity, and courage, it continues to flow like the river itself.
